We repurpose building materials from renovations in the inner north of Melbourne to make solid hardwood products giving this precious resource a second life.
Our products have been inspired from German and Swiss mid twentieth century design and therefore utilise clean lines and balanced proportions. Each element of our products are essential to their structure and integrity thus providing a form that follows the intended function.
Timber for most product parts are sourced directly from the demolition phase of our renovation projects. This includes Australian eucalypts such as Messmate and Ash.
The solid timber top surface of the seat, coffee table and bench are sourced from CERES Fair Wood. CERES Fair Wood supply farm forested and salvaged timbers. Shining Gum and Spotted Gum are typically used.
We operate a workshop in Preston which houses a variety of timber processing machinery that can take rough sawn and salvaged timber and produce fine grade dressed stock ready for the joinery process. We use traditional joinery methods and quality adhesives and finishes. All our products are finished in an eco-friendly hardwax oil.
